Terms of Service
Acceptance: By creating an account or using Augusta Search (including ausstd.augustasearch.com and related sites), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Service description: Augusta Search provides AI-assisted search and Q&A over standards and codes you are authorised to use, plus shared library content we make available (for example NCC/SIR where offered). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Not professional advice: Augusta Search is an AI assistance and research tool. It is not a substitute for professional engineering judgment, legal advice, or formal compliance review. Always verify citations against official publications and confirm requirements on site. See also our Disclaimer.
Accounts and content: You are responsible for your login credentials, for ensuring uploaded content is lawful and licensed for your use, and for verifying AI-generated information before relying on it. You retain ownership of content you upload and grant us a limited licence to process it to provide the service.
Prohibited uses: You may not use the service for unlawful purposes, to infringe intellectual property rights, to upload malware, to attempt to reverse-engineer our systems, or to abuse or disrupt the service.
Billing, cancel, and refunds
Subscriptions: Paid plans (for example Professional and Company) are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis as shown at checkout and on our Pricing page. Passcode or promotional access, if offered, may follow different duration rules stated at redemption.
Cancel anytime: You may cancel a paid subscription at any time via the in-app billing portal (Stripe Customer Portal) or as otherwise directed in the product. Cancellation options (for example immediate cancel versus end of billing period) depend on the portal settings and Stripe rules in effect for your subscription.
No refund on cancel: Cancelling a subscription — including an immediate cancel — does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid for the current billing period. Paid time is generally not pro-rated or refunded unless we are required to refund by applicable law. After an immediate cancel, paid plan access ends and the account typically reverts to the free Sole tier (NCC/SIR as offered). Company seats and shared company libraries end when the company subscription is cancelled or becomes inactive.
Taxes and failed payments: Prices may be shown exclusive or inclusive of tax as indicated at checkout. Failed or overdue payments may result in suspension or downgrade of access.
Intellectual property: The Augusta Search product, branding, and platform software are owned by us or our licensors. Uploaded standards remain subject to their publishers’ licence terms.
Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the services, including decisions made from AI-generated content.
Termination: We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for operational or legal reasons. You may stop using the service and cancel as described above.
Privacy: How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes: We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date on this page will change when we revise the Terms.
