Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Augusta Search (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our websites and product workspaces (including augustasearch.com and ausstd.augustasearch.com).
Information we collect: Account details you provide (such as name and email), authentication data, subscription and billing-related identifiers (handled via Stripe), documents and queries you submit, usage and support communications, and technical data such as IP address, browser type, and cookies or similar technologies where used.
How we use information: To create and secure your account, provide search and Q&A features, process uploads, operate billing and company seats, send transactional email (for example welcome or password reset), improve reliability and security, and communicate about the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Documents and queries: Uploaded documents and questions are processed to provide the service (including storage, indexing, and AI model calls needed to generate answers). Do not upload content you are not authorised to use.
Third-party services: We use processors such as hosting providers, databases (for example Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, analytics (where enabled), and AI model providers to deliver features. Those providers process data under their own terms and only as needed for us to run Augusta Search.
Payments: Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment data they process.
Data security: We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Retention: We retain account and service data while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing, and security purposes. You may request deletion of your account data subject to those needs.

Cookies: We may use cookies or similar technologies for session, security, and (where enabled) analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
International transfers: We operate with infrastructure that may process data outside your country. Where required, we take steps appropriate to the transfer.
Children: The service is directed to professionals and business users, not to children.
Changes: We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
